Annual Report for 2010

We are a family church and that means we have under 4’s who like to play and shout, and sometimes sleep. From September 2010 the crèche now caters for babies, toddlers and children pre-primary one. The children who go to crèche leave church before the sermon commences and stay until the breaking of bread service ends. The crèche is held in the prayer room and is set up for your child to feel as comfortable as they can.  There is a good selection of books and toys for all the age groups. (A special thanks to Mrs Cheryl Irwin who very kindly went and purchased some additional toys this year, which the little ones are enjoying each week)

The facilities are there for parents to feel comfortable and for your child to have an enjoyable time, while parents worship and hear God’s Word. Numbers vary each week – and we can have anything up to about 15 children. There are now three volunteers looking after the crèche each week, who are on a rota, which repeats every 12 weeks. The crèche is a most valuable form of Christian service to the young parents within the church and I would like to personally thank each and every one of our very willing volunteers, without whom we couldn’t provide the crèche each week.

“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth; anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” (Mark 10v14-15)

Annual Report for 2009

Baby crèche meets every Sunday morning in the prayer room and is for babies and toddlers aged 6 months to about 3 years old. There can be anything up to about 10 babies and toddlers – it varies from Sunday to Sunday.  There are always two people looking after the babies and toddlers and the leaders operate on a rota and would be on once every three months approx.  The crèche is a facility that enables parents to enjoy our Sunday service, knowing their child is in safe hands.

We would like thank all the very willing and capable helpers on the rota, without you the crèche simply wouldn’t run.  Thanks also to all the parents who entrust their children in our care

Gen 33v5 ‘Then Esau looked up and saw the women and children “Who are these with you?” he asked.  Jacob answered “They are the children God has graciously given your servant."
